The typical human foot is really a miracle of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, and more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised. Your feet are your body’s foundation. Without a sturdy, stable foundation, the rest of the system is weakened
I've been training barefoot for a while now and have noticed the benefit, recently i discovered these badboys:

They allow you to walk, run and train outside as though you were barefoot! I have to say i love 'em, running in the woods, on grass and even on the pavement is a new experience as you get so much more feedback. In Wing Tsun we are looking to understand and optimise our body use, how it moves together, when you free the feet your legs get to perform to their potential having a knock on effect throughout the rest of your body allowing you to relax and feel the forces acting on you. Think of it this way by strengthening your foundation you’re less vulnerable to injury and better equipped to improve your performance. Stronger feet let you apply more force to the ground, which stores more energy in the legs and creates a stronger elastic push-off, therefore more speed, power and balance. That can't be a bad thing.
